Shakib Khan is the most popular film Actor of Bengali film industry. He was not known as Shakib Khan when he first made his appearance in Bangladeshi cinema. His original name was Masud Rana. From an earlier time he was enthusiastic about dancing and started taking dancing lessons.

Besides dancing he is also skilled in Martial Arts. One day he came to BFDC for learning Dance with his dance master whose name was Aziz Reza and fortunately met a photographer who took some pictures of him. The following day when he went back to collect the photos, one film director surprised him by offering the role of a Hero in a film. That’s how his journey began with film industry.

He made his acting debut in "Anonto Bhalobasa" which is directed by Shohanor Rahman Shohan in 1999. In this film his heroine was "Erin Zaman". Though his 1st film "Anonto Bhalobasa" did not bring him wide fame. He also started in "Amar Swapno Tomi" which is directed by Mizan, which was quite successful at the box-office.

After a few years, Shakib Khan established himself as a popular actor in Bangladeshi film history. I think that Nobody can not take the number one crown from shakib khan because In recent time he was more disciplined and tried to change his look more attractive. His new look was able to grow his audience and break his previous blockbuster movie records.
